- History: Hernando Cortes sailed to Cuba and made friends with their governor. Then he sailed to mexico, to conquer the Aztec Indians. When he arrived the Aztecs thought he is their god, so they treated him nicely. Later Cortes kidnaped the Aztecs’ leader Montezuma for ransom, because Cortes was gready. Hernando Cortes soon got an army and conquered the Aztec Indians. There are still some Aztec Indians today.
